Arashiyama and The Bamboo Grove

We caught a train from the center of Kyoto to Arashiyama, in the footsteps of the Emperors of the Heian Period (794-1192) for whom it was a favorite spot. We followed a recommended route through the Bamboo Grove and past many temples and shrines. We only had time to visit some of them!
