With just one day left in Melbourne, it's time to have a quick look back at what we have most enjoyed here. Certainly, meeting up with family; not easy when they are on the other side of the world so this was special. Also we have enjoyed good food here (and red wine!) at every stop. From meat pies (traditional fare) to a really good Sri Lankan buffet. Most memorable for me (Polly) will be the Old Melbourne Gaol (see pics). For David, I think, the Aboriginal side of the museums. It's a great walking city, also the transportation is easy to use, reaching just about everywhere. Weather has been kind (except for this afternoon) and this helped to show the Botanical Garden in a good light. We also 'enjoyed' the Shrine of Remembrance, especially moved by the black wall filled with poppies.
I'm sure there will be more photos tomorrow, then on to...Kyoto (via Bangkok once again).
